I want to write about faith,
about the way the moon rises
over cold snow, night after night

faithful even as it fades from fullness,
slowly becoming the last curving and impossible
sliver of light before the final darkness.

But I have no faith myself,
I refuse it the smallest entry

Let then, this small poem,
like a new moon, slender and barely open
be the first prayer that opens me to faith.

Dear Hearts,

Faith is an interesting phenomenon, seems the times we need it most is when we tend to forget about it. When things are going wrong and our hopes, dreams, and expectations are in jeopardy the first thing we’ll usually do is scream, cry, fight and let go of hope.

That is the way Patricia and I were feeling last week when all of our web sites and e-mail accounts got sucked down a black hole in cyber space. We started thinking, “Everything is all wrong!!! Wrong, wrong, wrong!” (How’s that for an affirmation?) “Yes, Declare for your wrongness, and it shall be yours!” we had to remind ourselves.

So we a took pause to count our blessings, and you know what we discovered? The “right/wrong” scale tipped way back over to the right side. Almost every thing else is close to perfect. So instead of screaming and yelling, we just affirmed that everyone is doing the best they can and this too shall pass.

We are still in the process of moving our Internet presence to a new ISP but for the most part, things are up and running fairly well when you consider how much Internet content we have. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and thank you for your patience.
