An aged man is but a paltry thing,
A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing
For every tatter in its mortal dress

Dear ,
I made it! Amazing!
Tomorrow January 16, 2007 at 5:35 am PST – only about 50 miles from where I was born, I will be, for the first time in my life, 60 years of age! Life is good!
Sixty years on the planet! WOW! Considering my life and times, who would have thought I’d of got this far? And in pretty good shape too.
The thing that most comes to mind right now is gratitude, all the many things I have to be grateful for. I won’t bore you with all of them, but if I may, I’ll share just a few; every experience I have ever had, whether it felt good or bad at the time, they have all served me well and I have gained much from them. I am deeply grateful for my health, wealth, and wisdom – for my family and friends -for my delightful and loving partner – for my home, and much, much more.
I am especially grateful for the wonderful work I am so privileged to do, which means that I am deeply grateful for each and every one of the thousands of you who are part of that work. So to all of you, THANK YOU, you will be an important part of my birthday celebration.
Tomorrow at 5:35am I am intending to be reborn, a new and wiser me, ready for the next 60 years.
“Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” ~Mark Twain
Make it a new and wonderful week.
Love and blessings,
Rick
