Handling Challenges

Posted on January 31, 2011 by Patricia

“The diamond cannot be polished without friction,
nor the person perfected without trials.”
Chinese proverb

Challenges are a part of our life’s path. In your own life journey, perhaps you have
experienced a challenge in the area of health, career, relationships, or finances.
Or, to some degree, perhaps in all these areas! How can we deal effectively
with challenges and not allow ourselves to become overwhelmed or depressed?

After starting on the spiritual path, learning how you create your reality, and using
affirmations and visualizations to create what you want, people sometimes react to
challenges by saying, “What am I doing wrong? Why did this happen to me?”
You’ve done nothing wrong- your diamond is being polished to a deeper brilliance.
Something from the unconscious mind has surfaced to be cleared.

When challenges happen, don’t deny your feelings. It’s OK to cry or feel angry
and vent the feelings. And then, go beyond those feelings by KNOWING you
will get through it. Susan Jeffers, (author of the classic book Feel the Fear and
Do It Anyway
and many other wonderful books) offers a wonderful short
affirmation, “I can handle this.”

Louise Hay has given out many thousands of bookmarks and cards with
these affirmations: “All is well. Everything is working out for my highest
good. Out of this situation only good with come. I am safe.”

Meditate and connect with the power of Spirit for guidance, ask friends for
love and support, and remember that your diamond is being polished.

Please forward this to friends who need encouragement to move through
a challenge. (They can come to www.heartinspired.com to sign up for these Heart
Inspired Moments and HeartBeats, our ezine.)
